Financial Aid Night
Seniors and their parents interested in learning more about FAFSA should attend the Financial Aid Night at Mater Dei Tuesday, January 31, at 6:00 p.m. in the Media Center. Ms. JoAnn Laugel, Director of Financial Aid at the University of Evansville, will explain the FAFSA process.
Summer Driver Education Class
Mater Dei High School will be offering a Driver Education class this summer. The class will be taught by Mr. Tom Bealmear, certified driving instructor and former Mater Dei Driver Education teacher.
The class will be held from Monday through Friday, June 18 through June 29, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Six hours of drive time outside of the class is required to complete the course. The cost will be $300.
Students must be 15 years of age by the start of class – June 18, 2012, to be eligible to participate. Class attendance is mandatory!
If you have further questions, please contact Mr. Bealmear in the evening at 455-5140.
To reserve your place in the class, download the form, Summer Driver's Education, and complete the information and return to the school office by April 30, 2012, along with a $50 non-refundable deposit. Checks should be made payable to Mater Dei High School (memo: Driver Education). The course will close at 36 students.
Mater Dei Receives Highest Rating
Mater Dei has received an "A" rating by the Indiana Department of Education's Public Law 221 category placements. This category is the highest designation for any school and is based on academic quality.
Ever since the rating formula was created in 2005, Mater Dei has been awarded with the highest rating for schools. To learn more about the criteria and how other schools performed, go to:
